NIPUN Lakshya (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) is a key initiative under NEP 2020, aimed at ensuring that all children in India achieve foundational literacy and numeracy by the end of Grade 3 by 2026-27. It focuses on enabling students to read with comprehension and perform basic arithmetic, emphasizing activity-based and holistic learning. The initiative also includes teacher training, regular assessments, and community engagement to ensure effective implementation, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and educational growth.
